Submit a Manuscript
JQBio operates an editorial-first submission model. Your manuscript is evaluated on scientific merit by an independent Academic Editorial Board. What follows is a description of the pipeline so you know what to expect at each stage.
The five stages
- 1. SubmissionYou address the editors with a working title, the manuscript's value proposition, and a letter to the editor explaining its scientific contribution. The manuscript body follows once your submission is opened — this first contact is the introduction of your work.
- 2. Editorial ReviewThe editorial office reviews the submitted materials and determines whether the work is suitable to proceed. Suitability is judged in the first instance against the journal's Aims & Scope and the Author Guidelines. A decision is issued on whether the manuscript proceeds to peer review, requires revision before further consideration, or is declined at this stage.
- 3. Peer ReviewFollowing editorial acceptance and completion of publication arrangements, the manuscript enters double-blind peer review. Handling editors and reviewers evaluate the work on its scientific merit and return recommendations to the editorial board.
- 4. ProceedingsAfter scientific acceptance the manuscript enters production: XML typesetting, DOI registration, digital preservation, and preparation of the final record of version.
- 5. PublishedThe work appears in one of four formats: pre-print, pre-release issue, single issue, or a full volume issue, depending on the editorial schedule and the manuscript type.
Fast Track
An expedited editorial handling option is available at Stage 1 for time-sensitive work. Fast Track carries a refundable editorial deposit and shortens the editorial review window; it does not alter how peer review is conducted.
Collaborative authorship
Each submission carries its own contributor list. You may link co-authors who hold a JQBio author account, or list named contributors as text entries with their affiliation. Only the submitting author and accepted linked co-authors can view a submission and its editorial correspondence.
Our editorial commitment
At JQBio we believe that financial status should never act as a barrier to scientific discovery and dissemination. Your work is evaluated with editorial independence based on technical merit. Fee processing, promotional subsidies, and the allocation of our fully-funded publication grants are handled independently, ensuring that our platform remains structurally supportive of the next generation of global scientific pioneers.
How to submit today
Submissions are opened through the online intake. You will need an author account to continue building the manuscript after triage. Nothing is payable to declare an intent to publish.
